More than 100,000 square feet of shops and restaurants were constructed for University Village Marketplace, centrally located within the University Village mixed-use development along Halsted and Maxwell Streets.

The development features student apartments above street-level retail and restaurants, and included the rehabilitation of existing structures to create more shops in a vibrant retail environment. The retail site is within walking distance of residence halls for students, faculty, staff and the general market, as well as an adjacent parking structure.
