Established as an open air center in 1956, Harlem Irving Plaza (also known as The HIP) has been expanded, enclosed and enhanced and boasts over 725,000 square feet of bustling retail space. The HIP is the area’s dominant shopping center, and is also the fl agship property for Harlem Irving Companies. The thriving shopping center is home to over 140 successful national, regional and local specialty retailers, including anchor tenants Carson Pirie Scott, Target, Best Buy and Kohl’s, as well as popular stores including Aeropostale, Bath & Body Works, Express Factory Outlet, Forever 21, Hot Topic, Lenscrafters, New York & Co, PacSun, Victoria’s Secret/PINK, and Zumiez.
